CAC approval of the Vodacom/Maziv merger

We note that the CAC has approved the merger on the basis of further conditions which were not before the Tribunal at the time the Tribunal considered the merger. The further conditions were tendered to address concerns raised in the Tribunal’s reasons for decision.

It is pleasing that the further conditions address both competition concerns and also strengthen the public interest conditions.
