Come join our Case Management team, it’s an opportunity to test your interest in a career in competition law!
The Competition Tribunal is offering an internship, to a student currently enrolled for his/her LLM degree or Masters in Economics.
The South African Competition Authority consists of three bodies, the Competition Commission, the Competition Tribunal and the Competition Appeal Court. The Tribunal acts as the court of first instance in competition matters; it decides on mergers, cartels and abuse of dominance cases brought before it by the Competition Commission and other third parties, the investigative body, or, in some instances, by the complainant. For more information visit our website at www.comptrib.co.za. The Tribunal’s offices are located in Pretoria.
The goal of the Competition Tribunal’s learnership programme is to introduce interns to competition law in practice and to offer real world insights and exposure to actual working life. The Tribunal will provide interns with on-the-job training as a Case manager or Economist. Interns will be given the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned in class, develop new skills and see practitioners in action when they attend Tribunal hearings.
If you are interested in applying, please email your CV and a copy of your academic record to internship@comptrib.co.za. Your application must include a brief motivation, in no more than 500 words, on why you are interested in Competition Law.
