SouthRock to acquire Jet Park letting enterprise following Competition Tribunal approval

The Competition Tribunal (“Tribunal”) has approved a merger that will see SouthRock Properties (Pty) Ltd (“SouthRock”) acquire a Boksburg letting enterprise conducted by SA Retail Properties (Pty) Ltd (“SA Retail Properties”). Following the merger’s implementation, the target property will be wholly owned by SouthRock.

The Tribunal has approved the transaction subject to conditions relating to procurement from suppliers owned or controlled by Historically Disadvantaged Persons (“HDPs”).

SouthRock forms part of a broader group that is active in the investment, development and marketing of a portfolio of properties across South Africa. Its light industrial properties, situated within the Ekurhuleni Metro in Gauteng, are relevant to the transaction.

The target property is located in Jet Park, in Boksburg, Gauteng.
