The Competition Tribunal (“Tribunal”) has conditionally approved the proposed merger in which Campobelo Investments, S.L. (“Campobelo”) intends to acquire Seidor Solutions, S.L. and Seidor Logistics, S.L. (“target firms”).
The Tribunal has approved the proposed merger subject to conditions which address public interest issues. The merging parties committed to provide funding to establish a bursary scheme for Historically Disadvantaged Persons (“HDPs”) who are candidates for training and development in the information technology (“IT”) sector.
The merging parties are Spanish-based companies which provide IT consulting services in South Africa. Campobelo operates in South Africa through portfolio companies while the target firms operate in South Africa through their subsidiaries.
