The Tribunal has conditionally approved the proposed large merger wherein BidAir Cargo (Pty) Ltd (“BidAir”) intends to acquire Interloc Freight Services (Pty) Ltd (“Interloc”).
The Tribunal has approved the proposed transaction subject to conditions relating to small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) supplier development and skills development.
Of relevance to the proposed merger is BidAir’s logistics activities, through its subsidiary Bidvest, specifically the provision of domestic air cargo services between various main cities in South Africa. Interloc, in turn, provides logistics services i.e. the consolidation of domestic air freight and road freight in South Africa.
