The Tribunal has unconditionally approved the proposed merger which comprises an internal restructuring in terms of which Kalander Ekwiteit (Pty) Ltd (“Ekwiteit”) intends to acquire Potwil (Pty) Ltd (“Potwil”), Pottwee (Pty) Ltd (“Pottwee”), Potdrie (Pty) Ltd (“Potdrie”) and Potvier (Pty) Ltd (“Potvier”).
 
The acquiring group comprises companies within an investment holding structure. They do not produce any products or offer any services.
 
The target firms do not have any business activities.

the property and shopping centre known as Sun Valley Mall

 
The Tribunal has approved, subject to procurement related conditions, the proposed merger in terms of which Sun Valley Investments (Pty) Ltd (“Sun Valley Investments”) intends to acquire the Sun Valley Mall ("Sun Valley Mall") from Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd ("Shoprite").
 
The acquiring group is a property holding and investment company that owns a diversified portfolio of retail, industrial, commercial and specialised properties in South Africa.
 
The Sun Valley Mall is a community shopping centre located in Cape Town, in the Western Cape. It contains various retail shops including a Checkers Hyper, Dischem Pharmacy, Virgin Active and Tiger Wheel and Tyre, among other tenants.
